Event Management
Event Marketing Services, Inc. is an event management, timing and scoring company that can provide event consultation, timing and scoring services/equipment for all running and walking events.
EMS can provide the following services and products:
EMS will consult with the client on the event and work to ensure a fun and safe race day event for all participants. In addition, we will attend all race committee meetings and ensure that all tasks lead to a successful production of the event as they pertain to our responsibilities on the timing and scoring side.
EMS can provide all registration services for your event through our retail store Run for Your Life, manage all incoming mail & data entry necessary for the event, manage the event database, assign bib #s to all race participants, and advertise this event through our stores and race calendar via the Run For Your Life website.
Provide timing & scoring services for each individual event. We will provide on-line data management through on-line registration, handle all necessary downloads of data from On-line Registration, provide all necessary supplies (labels, chips, timing tags, zip-ties, etc), scoring for each individual race participant, provide comprehensive race results and award results. We will also post race results by 5pm on race day to our website plus any additional links provided/specified by client.
EMS will provide all electronic timing & scoring equipment which includes all necessary ChampionChip/Chronotrack timing systems for the start/finish line areas, race clocks for course and finish line plus any back up timing devices. We will provide all operators of this equipment.

ChampionChip System Defined
This timing system is defined as two systems that are each four meters across by two meters deep, one set behind the other to serve as the backup and includes a total of eight mats and two yellow boxes (not included in the dimensions).
Chronotrack System Defined
This timing system is defined as a disposable tag timing system with two systems, one set behind the other to serve as the backup and includes a total of eight gators and two orange boxes (not included in the dimensions).
We can provide event equipment which includes: truss, banners, all chute materials, and chip retrieval supplies. Our staff “erects” the start/finish lines one hour prior to race start and disassembles once all participants are finished and data is captured.
EMS staff members will set up cones, directional signs, mile markers/ informational signs, and water stop drop supplies the day of the event, and cleanup of course signs/cones.
EMS will measure and certify the course according to USATF guidelines and rules. We will handle all paperwork, course maps and certification payment to the USATF. We will provide race director with the paperwork for their records.
