2017 RUN FOR YOUR LIFE SIX PACK SERIES

The face of running here in the Queen City has evolved immensely over the years – the intimate group of runners that once dominated the roads of Charlotte’s select 5K’s has now become a vast body of weekend warriors with as many race options as you find pasta options in the grocery store!  So we wanted to create a race series that was simple and inviting with a mix of long-distance challenge!

After much thought and some debate, we landed on the 6 Pack!

 

LONG COURSE 6 PACK


Run the longest distances of our Six Pack Races:

This pack is perfect for those that want to climb the distance ladder and build up to a half marathon.

SHORT COURSE 6 PACK

It’s the perfect pack for the runner that has always wanted to own their short distance performance, with each race falling between 3.1 and 5 miles.

SWITCHING COURSE PACK

If you registered for the entire series and want to change your distance package, you must notify us by August 31st.  For example, you registered for the short course, paying the full $129 at the beginning of the year, but training is going well and you now want to compete in the long course instead.  To make the switch, you will need to e-mail registration@runforyourlife.com and pay the $50 difference by August 31st.  This applies to SERIES REGISTRATION only.  If you are competing in the series but are registering for one race at a time, no need to notify us.

It wouldn’t be a true Run For Your Life Series if we couldn’t celebrate the best performers at the end of the year.

LONG COURSE 6 PACK AWARDS

We will take your chip time (hh:mm:ss) for each event and add them together for a cumulative time.  The runners with the Lowest Cumulative Times in the below categories will be awarded:

  • Top 3 Overall Male & Female
  • Top Male & Female Masters
  • Top Male & Female Age Group

Age Groups: 19 & Under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 & Up

SHORT COURSE 6 PACK AWARDS

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

NAME:

For the most accurate scores and results, please be sure that when you register for 6-Pack events that you  USE A CONSISTENT NAME. For example, if you register for one race as James Doe but then a second race as Jim Doe, your results will be categorized under two different names and won’t be added together. Please notify us of any name changes, such as taking on a married name.

RESULT INQUIRIES:

Make sure you check the results after every race.  Make sure your time appears (runners have been know to wear their timing device wrong and not appear in results).  Follow up with us if you have any questions WITHIN 2 WEEKS of the race.

REGISTER:

Registration for the entire Six Pack Series is available online ONLY.

If you are not registering for the full series, you can register for each race individually.   Just click on the Sign Up links for each of the events on our event calendar.  There is no need for you to register for all of the races at once – we will track who is running all of the races!  Just keep in mind – you must follow either the Short Course or Long Course race packages in order to be eligible for a series award.  If you plan to run the Long Course 6 Pack but skip out on the Rocktoberfest Half Marathon and run the 5 Miler instead, you won’t be eligible for any of the 6 Pack series awards.
