Packet Pick-Up Hours
Packet pick-up will be available on Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17 at varying Run For Your Life locations.  Packet pick-up will also be available on site race day.  See below for locations and hours:

  • Midtown: Thursday & Friday 10AM – 7 PM
  • Piper Glen: Thursday 10AM – 7PM; Friday until 3 PM
  • University: Thursday 10:30AM – 7:30PM; Friday 10:30AM – 3:00PM
  • On-site Race Day (March 18) beginning at 6:45 am

Please plan to park in the back of the parking lot, away from business entrances.  Please do not park close to the entrances of Target, Harris Teeter, Michael’s, the movie theater, etc.


NEW COURSE! The Shamrock 4 Miler presented by Novant Health will be at the same host location, but we are bringing you a new course!  The start and finish line will be the same point on Elmstone Drive in front of the movie theater.  The course will be a loop hitting Elm Lane, Ballantyne Commons, N. Community House Road and Endhaven Lane.


DISTANCE: The Leprechaun Jog is a 1 mile fun run,that will start and finish at the same spot as the 4 Miler.  The participants will turn left on Elm Lane, turn around just before Ballantyne Commons Parkway, turn right into StoneCrest at Piper Glen driveway. There will be no race day registration for the Leprechaun Jog.  Please be sure you register your child before race day.

MEET UP: Please be at the finish line, with your child, by 8:50 AM.  A member from the race team will give the children instructions and lead them to the start line for the Jog.


The 2017 Shamrock 4 Miler shirts are the Bella + Canvas Triblend Gender Specific shirts in Emerald.

The women’s style is a fitted styles.  The women’s shirt also run small.  If you like a fitted shirts, size up one size.  If you like a loose shirt, size up two sizes.  If you ran in any of the 2016 Six Pack races, the shirt style is the same.


The following placements will be awarded:

  • Top 5 Overall Male & Female (gun time)
  • Top 3 Masters Male & Female (chip time)
  • Top 3 Male & Female Age Groups^ (chip time)
  • Top Clydesdale & Athena* (chip time)
  • Top Male & Female Baby Joggers (gun time)

All kids that participate in the Leprechaun Jog will receive a prize!

Awards will be presented at awards ceremony and will not be mailed. Awards will be kept for 2 weeks at the Dilworth Run For Your Life location, no exceptions!

^Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Up.
*Clydesdale & Athena: Men weighing 200lbs+ and woman weighing 145lbs+.  Category is completely optional and must be checked on application.



We are excited to partner with RunningWorks for the second year in a row!  RunningWorks is a non-profit running program founded to use sport to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness – one stride at a time.

Their vision is to stop the destructive cycle of homelessness before it starts by reaching the most vulnerable and socially excluded with values accrued through running – skills they can use to further their lives.

Their core values include respect, discipline, teamwork, accountability, honesty, dependability, education, endurance, family, morality, commitment, independence, giving, service, trust, volunteerism, and willingness. Displaying our core values helps break the stigma associated with homelessness

All 4 Miler participants will receive a finisher’s medal.  The medal will be one of six collectors medals.  Run all races in the Six Pack series and connect them to make one HUGE medal!
